Cutting & Measuring

OLFA Splash Rotary Cutter

My go-to tool for cutting fabric! I love how easy it makes cutting fabric for my quilting and sewing projects. And of course, keeping a few extra blades on hand is always a must!

Quilters Select Cutting Mat

My 12″ x 18″ cutting mat is my favorite for quilt retreats and smaller sewing spaces. It’s the perfect size when I don’t have room for a larger cutting mat, but still need a dependable cutting surface.

Omnigrid Rulers

I love having a variety of Omnigrid rulers in my sewing room! From squares to rectangles, I reach for whichever size works best for the project I’m making. Having the right ruler makes measuring and cutting so much easier.

Quilting Essentials

Aurifil Thread

Aurifil is my go-to thread for just about everything I sew! My most-used colors are 2021 and 2000, although I choose my thread color based on the project I’m working on. Whether I’m piecing a quilt or sewing a bag, Aurifil is a staple in my sewing room.

Rowenta Iron

My Rowenta iron gets quite the workout in my sewing room! It’s lightweight and easy to handle, making it my favorite for pressing fabric, setting seams, and giving my projects that final press. It’s one of those tools I reach for nearly every time I sew.

Hobbs 80/20

Hobbs 80/20 batting has been one of my favorites for years. I love the softness and beautiful drape it gives my finished quilts. It’s a dependable choice that I return to again and again when it’s time to turn a quilt top into a finished quilt.

Sewing & Bag Making Essentials

Clover Clips

Clover Clips are one of those little sewing notions I wouldn’t want to be without! I use them regularly when attaching quilt bindings and making bags. They hold my fabric layers securely in place without needing pins, making them especially handy when working with thicker materials.

byAnnie’s Soft and Stable

When I’m making bags, I love using byAnnie’s Soft and Stable to give them structure and stability. It helps my handmade bags hold their shape while still keeping them soft and flexible. It’s one of my favorite supplies for giving my bag-making projects a beautiful, professional-looking finish.

Favorite Fabrics, Precuts & Designers

Lori Holt

Lori Holt is one of my favorite fabric and quilt designers, and I’ve made more quilts using her patterns than almost anyone else’s! Whether I’m working on an appliqué project or piecing together a quilt, I always enjoy creating with her beautiful fabric collections. Baked with Love is just one example of her wonderful designs, and you can explore many more of her collections at Fat Quarter Shop.

Minki Kim

I absolutely love Minki Kim’s bag patterns and beautiful fabric collections! I’ve made several of her bags over the years, and her designs continue to inspire me to try something new. Cotton Nook is just one of her lovely collections, and I’m looking forward to making many more bags using her fabrics. You can explore this collection and more at Fat Quarter Shop.
